If you’re hopping for a large selection of beers & ales, you’re at home at the brewhouse.

B&K beers are made a few feet from where you’re ordering, which are, as they say, on the tin! Hyper-local, fresh, award-winning, unpasteurised and vegan.

Beers Made in the Brewhouse

You won’t have to look far to find the big copper brewing vessels in the Brewhouse.

They’re right by the bar where you’re free to have a good old nose.

Remember when you could rummage about Cadbury’s world? The smell was insatiable.

This is a beer lovers’ equivalent. Fresh, yeasty, hoppy, tasty.

Perfect!

Taste Testing: The Hangdog & Trilogy

The middle of January required some much-needed vitamin D!

The hangdog sounded right up my street as well! A hazy pint with hoppy and citrus notes.  It didn’t disappoint because, as you can see, I had to get another!

If you’re looking for tropical IPA that isn’t overpowering on the tropics, you’re in good hands with the hangdog.

The trilogy is perfect for the season. Cold, wet, miserable, and the sun had not been out for days. Those choppy, chewy chocolate notes are smooth, and it goes down a treat.

I’m not a stout person, but the trilogy hits differently.

Southbourne High Street: Thriving, Indy & Quirky!

What else has Southbourne got to offer? Well, you should check out the high street!

There’s a lot of love for SOBO, as the locals call it. Unlike most UK highstreets, which are dissipated and depressing, Southbourne breathes independence.

You’ve got micropubs, greengrocers, butchers, tapas bars and quirky coffee shops. In the spring & summer, you expect this place to be bustling with locals enjoying a coffee while sitting outside at tables and enjoying the sunshine.

There’s a real sense of community here.

And in case you didn’t know. The beach is one of the best around!

Fancy moving on or a more cosy pub?

Check out The Wight Bear just a few yards down the road!

Super friendly, super fun and super cosy. This micropub ticks all the boxes.

There’ll be a post about the Wight Bear coming shortly!

Final Thoughts on The Brewhouse Southbourne

What I love about the Brewhouse is the huge selection of ales and beers.

It’s a beer lover’s dream!

You could easily lose a day in Southbourne, and that’s just eating & drinking. The Larder House (tapas bar) and the Wight Bear are just a few of the unique businesses on Southbourne’s thriving high street.
