Amsterdam has a lot of coffeeshops — all with their own strains, style, and vibe.
And as partial stoners… we obviously had to test a few.
Out of all the ones we tried, Resin was the one that properly hit our vibe.
Funky décor, solid weed, banging tunes — it just works.
If you’re after somewhere to actually relax (not just cram into a tourist hotspot), this is a great shout.
So yeah…
Sit back, roll up, and let’s get into it.

Hit Up Resin Coffeeshop Near Amsterdam Central for a Proper Chill Vibe
You’ll find Resin just a short wander from Amsterdam Central Station.
And when we say short, we mean it —
about 5 minutes (roughly 350m).
That’s including stopping every 10 seconds because Amsterdam is ridiculously photogenic.
We actually arrived late — checked into the hotel around 9pm — and from our window, it was like spotting the golden arches after a long day…
Resin glowing away with all its bright, funky signage.
After a 6-hour flight delay?
Yeah… we weren’t resisting that.
Even the sober would’ve been tempted.
And if you do end up in there a while…
There’s a FEBO open until 4am nearby, ready to sort you out when the munchies kick in.
Elite combo.

Resin Coffeeshop Menu Selection
The weed menu at Resin isn’t massive compared to some of the bigger coffeeshops…
But honestly? That’s not a bad thing.
Our favourite was Girl Scout Cookies — a sativa-leaning hybrid that gives you a proper buzz without completely wiping you out.
Perfect if you actually want to do stuff after, rather than melt into the nearest chair.
- White Widow
- OG Kush
- Gorilla Glue
- Moonrocks
- Cali Strains £££
- Hash (solids)
- Pre-Rolls
- Space Cakes
Price Guide
- Standard strains: €12–€15 per gram
- Moonrocks: ~€30 per gram
- Cali strains: €25–€30 per gram
You can grab 5g deals and save a few euros…
But where’s the fun in that?
Mix & match is the way forward.
We’ll get into pre-rolls properly later — because yeah… there’s thoughts.

Drinks Menu
Believe it or not… some coffeeshops in Amsterdam don’t actually sell coffee.
Mad, we know.
Luckily, Resin does — so you can pair your smoke with a proper caffeine hit.
And honestly, there’s something elite about sitting there, slightly blitzed, sipping an espresso like you’ve got your life together.
What You’ll Find:
- Coca-Cola, Diet & Zero
- Fanta Berry
- Fanta Lemon
- Red Bull
- Water
- Juices: Pineapple, Orange
- Coffee, Tea, Cappuccinos & Espresso etc
Prices:
Most drinks sit around €3–€4, which for Amsterdam… is actually pretty decent.
No rip-off vibes here.

The Vibe
There’s just something about Resin that feels… right.
Maybe it’s the properly chilled atmosphere.
Maybe it’s the mix of people — locals, tourists, suits, stoners… everyone just doing their thing.
Or maybe it’s just the fact that it doesn’t feel forced.
The staff know their stuff too.
No pressure, no rushing — they’ll happily talk you through the menu and let you check the bud before you buy.
Always a good sign.
Music-wise, if you’re into dancehall and reggaeton, you’re in for a good time.
The tunes are genuinely banging — not just background noise.
There are TVs dotted around as well, and if you head upstairs, you’ll usually find football on.
We tried a few other coffeeshops while we were there…
But nothing quite matched the vibe at Resin & Barney’s
It’s simple:
Good people.
Good music.
Good smoke.

A Word on Pre-Rolls in Amsterdam
We tried one pre-roll while we were there…
And yeah — we’re calling it now:
Complete waste of money.
You’re looking at around €8–€10 per joint, and honestly?
It barely did anything and burnt down way too fast.
You’re much better off grabbing a gram and rolling your own.
You’ll easily get 2–3 joints out of it, and they’ll actually hit properly.
If you’re the type to roll a decent one…
Pre-rolls just aren’t touching the sides.

Final Thoughts
Resin is one of those places that just gets it right.
It’s not massive, not overhyped, and not rammed with tourists trying to tick a box…
It’s just a solid coffeeshop with a genuinely good vibe.
If you’re looking for somewhere to chill, have a smoke, and not feel crammed in or rushed out the door — this is a great shout.
It’s the kind of place you can properly settle into for a bit, rather than bouncing from spot to spot.
We didn’t go mad on the top-shelf stuff or moonrocks…
And honestly, you don’t need to.
There’s more than enough here to have a very good time without blowing your budget.
(Especially when some of it is cheaper back in the UK anyway 👀)
If you’re heading to Amsterdam and want a coffeeshop that actually feels relaxed — not chaotic —
Resin should definitely be on your list.
